Rian Johnson, writer-director of the time travel movie Looper, recorded a commentary track and uploaded it to Soundcloud. You can download the track to your iPod/iPhone/favorite electronic listening device and play it back while watching the move in the theaters. Johnson recommends that you only listen the commentary the second time you watch the movie and that you use in-ear buds to not disturb your fellow movie-goers. It’s a neat idea (apparently something he did once before for The Brothers Bloom) but I’m not sure I would go back to watch the movie again just to hear the director’s commentary. And if you haven’t seen Looper yet, you should really do so. Really great sci-fi film and JGL does a great job, even down to mimicking some of Bruce Willis’ mannerisms.
