Shuttled

The space shuttle Discovery, the oldest shuttle of the fleet, was flown from Cape Canaveral, FL to Washington D.C. where it is being retired to the Smithsonian Museum (“America’s Attic). As part of the flight on the back of the specially modified 747 transport, the planes took a special detour past the Capital building and the White House before landing at Dulles National airport.

In Focus has a photo gallery of Discovery’s final flight.
